AIRBOX DONT FIT INTO PLACE

hello, i have noticed that we i reinstall my airbox back on that it doesnt seem to fall into place. it doesnt drop into place the rings dont expand over the carbs. anyideas how to make it ift.

Being careful with a heat gun.

Sit the boots in warm water for a while.

Sit the boots out in the sun for a while.

Soak the boots in hot anti-freeze; the coolant includes additives and conditioners to keep the rad hoses flexible, and these will soften the carb rubbers so they aren't so much work the next time.

just be careful with walm / hot anti-freeze as the gasses given of are VERY toxic al

If you're not in a huge rush, you can try the trick with wintergreen and xylene. Soak the rubber boots for a bit, and they will go back to being pliable as new. Much less toxic.

Just don't let them sit too long, or they will bloat to twice the size. They eventually go back, but it'll scare the hell out of you. :)

I know a young woman who did that with Baby oil, sure scared her LoL sorry boys could not resist that one.
