I need Clutch assistance

Post by 95FZR600 »

A while back (about 2 months ago) I adjusted the clutch on the bottom and then at the top like instructed and my upper adjustment has never been the same. The last month or so when I take off from 1st gear from a stop I hear a pop like the push rod is not going all the way in or something. Could that be that I need to adjust it better from the bottom or do I need a new clutch and push rod?

I started reading up on the lower adjustment and It says I need to run the bottom in clockwise all the way and then back it off 1/8-1/4 counter clockwise and then go to the top and adjust. Does that sound right? I will try it this weekend but if any of ya'll have any suggestions I'm all ears.

when I adjusted my clutch down below i didnt do it up top at the same time. I just backed the screw out down below probably a little more than 1/4 of a turn after tightening it then tightened the 12mm nut back up and kept doing that while adjusting the top, I never adjusted both at the same time.
