Front End Work....looking for suggestions

I'm doing fork seals and oil this weekend on the 6. The front wheel is coming off to get new rubber and I'm slapping YZF750 6 pots on there while I am at it.

Anyone got good suggestions for a lil extra preload up front(spacer size/length). And maybe Fork oil weight suggestions?

my local dealer carries bel ray unsure of the weights they have though

as far as preload, someone else will probably be able to better answer that, i've heard anything from some big washers to pvc pipe. i don't have anything on mine. when i did my fork seals i put a heavier weight oil in. i believe stock is 10w, i can't remember if i put 15 or 20 weight in there. either way, it helped out a lot. of course i got used to the forks the way they were, and the left one had the busted seal so there wasn't a whole lot of oil in there, and lots of sludge bonkonhead. so i'd say put 15 or 20 weight oil and see how that works out, it probably wouldn't hurt putting a little extra preload on there too. best just to experiment :-D i think dr rockso used some washers he picked up at home depot or something. maybe he can chime in here.
