stalling after 6500rpm

okay, if i give my bike some gas or throttle once i reach 6500 rpms it dies and stalls, but if i slowly increase the throttle it wont die. any advice? its a 89 fzr600

if you wack the throttle open & it dies sounds like crap in the tank filter or dirty carbs.
clean the carbs and remember to re-synch them (see the WIKI how to's)
