Clutch Cable... Snap!

Yeah so two days after I get a new tire put on. The clutch cable snaps. I was leaving work around midnight last night when it happened. I rode during the day and to work and it was all good.
I just don't understand how a cable that strong snaps like it's nothing. Either way I called my mechanic and he's gonna get me back on the road.
Just venting. Thanks for listening. But really how does something that strong snap?

Where did it break?
Usually they snap right near the perch(at the top), or right near the actuator(at the bottom).
In either case, it is usually beacause of an outside issue.
Often a burr develops on the lever or the perch itself that wears on the cable.
Look for this.
Also having the clutch actuator incorrectly adjusted may allow the cable to be pulled farther than it is designed to.....it gets to it's limit and then is pulled a little bit farther
Yeah, it's strong, but the lever provides quite a lot of leverage

Right at the perch where the cable runs into the handle. AHHH bike problems. Love it. Thanks man.
