How do you know your float heights need to be messed with? There's a lot of knowledge on here so if you ask a lot of questions and take your time, you can probably do it without hands on help.

What's it doing. Details. Adjusting the floats is not to hard. It just takes time. I just did mine. Search around. Someone posted a how to, and its spot on.

after taking off the carbs and looking everything over..do the jets need to be all the way in or backed out a certain amount?..put the carbs back together then hooked up the fuel pump and turn the petcock on.. bike started up fine ran for 6 or so min and then i shut her off..went to put her back together so i could take her for a quick ride..once i put her back together..she wouldnt turn over again..i dont kno much about bikes but im thinking she is flooding the carbs...hmm

Turn over? Do you mean won't start?

where are you located? you probably need a good cleaning and sync. more details!

does it turn over, and just chug?
does the fuel pump click(prime) when you turn the bike on?
when you have it running, what rpm does it idle at after it is warm?
do you leave the choke on while you are riding?

lastly, does your bike have this color scheme? an you ride it around Milford, NH?

:whistle
I did that.

im located in litchfield nh...and no my bike does not have that color scheme lol..and i havent been able to ride it yet to see how it rides..i bought it from a kid that told me it only needed a new fuel pump...it starts now after the petcock has been off for a while..then runs rich..and then dies when i go to put it in gear..sometime just when i rev it..then it wont start again..my assumption..its flooding now..no clue how to fix this problem...

I think your right about the flooding. I had one fuel needle go bad, and it caused big problems. When you had it running, did you smell un-burnt fuel in the exhaust? I would pull the carbs apart and check the floats, the float heights, the valve needles, and the jets. Get everything a good cleaning. Then put it all back together. While the carb is sitting in front of you, bench sync it. Make certain if the problem is the fuel valves, you replace them. If you keep attempting to start the motor and the fuel is just pouring into the combustion chamber, you can hydro lock the motor. That's bad.

you are defiantly in for some carb work. it really isnt as hard as you would think. there are some good guides in the wiki. if you get stuck, and feel like driving, you can bring them over and i can help. i'm near milford.
