Voltage Regulator from R6

My VR just died and I purchased another one from ebay without realizing it was an R6 instead of the YZF. The plug is different. Will this work on my '97 FZR600? I will hard wire this if this will work and if I know the pin out. This VR has 6 pins and not 5. My original VR failed low. I was measuring 11.2V even at 5K. Please see pics below and and let me know if this will work. Thanks

Yep. The top center plug is dead if I recall and it just needs to be grounded.

If you want an actual connector, drop a line to Alex at https://www.corsa-technic.com/index.php. Tell him Don in Canada says Hi, and could he ponder the suitability of the "EXUP 6-pin" connector he sent to me a while back.

Thank you for the replies. I needed to make sure what the top middle pin was for. All other pins are the same as the original VR correct?

Don, I will contact Alex. thanks,

Well I got it all wired up and running again. When I measured the voltage across the battery @ 5K, the reading was 13.6V. With the headlight disconnected it measures 13.7V. I know this is on the low end but should I be alarm and continue the measurements on the flowchart or am I OK? I took it out for about 2hrs and ran perfect.

thanks,

How do you have it wired up? Did Alex get you a connector, or are you using individual spades?

That does seem a little low; according to the '06 R6V manual, the VRR should be putting out 14.1-14.9 vdc. After your next big ride, before you switch off measure your voltage again.
