exhaust slip on question

right now i am running a titanium R1 exhaust with V&H Superstock header jetted stage 1 k&n drop in and som int eng work. I just bought a V&H slip on but the packing and all was took out of it. What is your thoughs on the V&H vs the R1 Tit? I thinking i more curious about the back pressure i do have to fine tune my bike and wanted to figure out which exhuast to keep on and which one to sale

what are the pros and cons to running a muffle with no pack or anything in it ?

no packing = very noisy! wouldn't be allowed over here! prob reduce back pressure too.

You'll lose back pressure and subsequently some low end. And, as said, it'll be really loud. My suggestion to be take your bike for a quick ride with just the open header. That will give an idea of what to expect.

If both mufflers are straight through you're not going to lose any back pressure. The packing material is there to attenuate the sound waves and has no effect on flow. Other than it being offensively loud I imagine you'll see no difference.

I'll disagree with that - 125 and 250GP strokers WILL lose power as the packing absorbs oil and degrades, and you don't more 'straight-through' than those pipes! *Something* happens with the resonance that the bike doesn't like.
