anyone have an idea about holding clutch basket to get the transmisson nut off? i know the tools but was trying to get it apart tonight and put back toghter. pics do help

The easiest way is to take an old clutch steel and weld a rod onto it. I'll be replacing my steels in the near future, so I'll have six up for sale (One for myself and one for YG already spoken for). PM me if you want one.

Another option is to put it in gear, then put a wooden axe / hammer handle, or 2x4, through the rear wheel spokes. This only works of course if the drive train is still intact...

i would go with don's way ive seen to many baskets get notched that way, but if you have a impact gun with some balls you can put it in gear and have some one hold the front end and with a few braps its off

thank you all i will have some more fun tommorrow get it off and fixing problems yet to see so far no metal shaving or chunks in my oil when drained

I can vouch for this method, specifically the hammer version, since i just used it last week. I'll add its best to do it in fifth or sixth gear, otherwise there's too much torque being transmitted to the rear wheel, everything flexes like a mofo and it becomes almost impossible to loosen the nut.
