1989 FZR600 running really rich in the low end. Solutions?

Hello people!

This is my first post in this forum but i've been lurking for quite a while, ever since a acquired a 1989 FZR600 a few months back.
When I got it the bike was running OK but besides the endemic oil burning problem, it was hard to start and had some hesitation when opening the throtlle below 6k rpm. It would choke for a second and then pull normally.
Then after a month or so while riding over a bump, the left end of the swingarm collapsed, the wheel turned, threw the chain and the chain opened a nice crack form the water pump hole to the oil pan. Trashed engine. I got another one and bolted it on the frame. Despite the fact that the engine has an unimaginable amount of miles and neglect, it runs fine and pulls adequately. It slipped out of second gear at 7k but switching the shift forks, shaft and drum over from the cracked engine got that sorted. Thing is its now running so rich in the lower end of the revband that its reaaaaally hard to get it started, specially if i let it sit a few minutes with a hot engine, and when i try to start it it reeks of gas. It will start with a bit of throttle and will hover around the 1k mark, making choking noises but refusing to rev higher no matter what i do with the throttle. If i release the throttle, the bike stalls inmediately. After a few tries I manage to get it over 2k, at which point it'll rev nicely and idle normally when i release the throttle. On top of all this, it still shows hesitation and choking when i open fully below the 6.5-7k mark before pulling normally.

Is there anything i can do to sort this? I took the bike to get the carbs cleaned and adjusted shortly after i got the bike, and it started much better, but it gradually got worse to the point where i am now. I guess it could take it back for a re-adjustment but money's not great at the moment and i'd much rather sort this myself.
So, any insight?

Sorry about the endless post but i'm trying to give as much detail as possible about the problem.
Cheers from Spain!

EDIT!!: I forgot, if I stop the engine and try to re-start it withing a minute or so, it will start no problem, just with the starter button.

I would do a dynamic synch with either a bought tool or homemade one. Should cure that problem.
