RD & Lasse,
I think that if you read my input on progressive wound springs etc I have covered this subject.
I tend to put my money with my mouth.
There are umpteen fancy branded "progressive" wound springs all supposedly " the Mutt's nuts" yet none of them quote facts such as spring rates for any given wind.
I went with the later technology Cartridge emulators ( IF i had wanted to Franken-bike I would have bought cartridge shocks as I have on my other bikes ) but since I am TRYING to keep a firm lid on my creativity and have a nice looking stock bike and went with the YSS PD valves the equivalent of Race-tech's Cartridge emulators & linear springs.
I bought the former from ASR suspension in Victoria Australia for 160 AUD and delivery was one week to the UK.
My springs I had made locally for 40 UKP in 24 hours.
Why because I know what technology is involved and to me at least it is an answer not a fudge to fix the problem I had which was heavy diving when braking.
As a side note my "original " springs were I think the yamaha part and were 5mm & 7mm shorter than spec after probably 15 years of use / abuse.
Lasse if you need help getting the linear springs & the PD valves PM me
RD I have extensive photo's or the PD Valve mod for How to PLUS I have looked at the FAT axle mod for the FZR & will release details beyond what I put in the WIKI later this weekend <?>
