OK so recently installed a new loaded head that was from a good running bike.( I was cheaper than rebuilding my head with bad intake valves. ) installed new base gasket and head gasket torqued to the right lbs im pretty sure had to nm to fb convertion. checked all the cylinders and rings seemed good had a friend look and said the same. positioned the rings opposite of each other and did everything right, i thought. The bike started rt up no prob. let it idle for a few turned it off next day started rt up let it idle for a few turned it off. next day wont start tried and tried and tried nothing decided to check for fouled plugs and #3 plug was covered in oil lots. #4 had a little too but not bad. 1 and 2 clean. bikje was giving some nasty back fires when i was cranking tryin to start it. where do i start i drained my coolant...no oil. next will be my oil looking for coolant what could it be pls help I dont want to rip it back appart if i dont need to. head gaskets are like 60 bucks crazy any advice???.

just check you spark plug gromets on your valve cover, thats happened to me b4 but on a honda crx, just replace the valve cover gasket as a set. if it still dus it, id say take another look at your piston rings oil could be leaking passed them, but most of the time its just the gasket.

#3 is right next to the oil drainback path from the head (cam chain galley).
Sure you installed the head gasket with the correct side up (not upside down)?

yeah gasket had the word up on a little tab so i installed it up. wouldnt there be oil in my coolant if it was head gasket issue? should i drain my oil looking for coolant? what type of things can i check to eliminate things

There's no oil in the cylinder block itself (why a new base gasket, and/or even having to mess with rings when replacing head?)
Yeah, if head gasket not sealing drainback oil, most likely you would have coolant in oil/oil in coolant.
Hate to say it, but you may have broken an oil control ring.
Throw a new plug in that hole, and start it up and see whta happens(i.e does it oil foul again?).
