hey my 1991 FZR 600 isnt ruuning right shes running a little rough, when i fire the FZR up and have the choke on, she idles at 2,000 rpm only, i do know on a cold start with choke FZR's are suppose to idle between 4,000 and 5,000rpm i believe, i have to have the choke on just to keep her ruuning, seeing if any body could help me out. shes getting fuel, i bought NGK spark plugs. and cleaned the carb the best i could, still isnt running right. really have no clue or an idea, about what it could be. :headscratch:

P,
adjust the idle screw that is under the left hand frame rail just forward of the pet cock (big brass thumb wheel looking thing)

When mine is on full choke she will peak at 3K RPM so use the idle screw to achieve that at first, then when nice and toasty take off the choke, see what the revs drop to, mine flickers round he 1k mark (needle is not that steady at that level.)

If you have to keep the choke on just to keep it running after warm up then I suspect you are compensating for an air leak. Check that the air box is seated all the way down on the carbs and the clamps are tight.
