couldnt some one just take the cooling fan off of a junk xb0x 360 and wire it to the bike to help keep the vr cool? i have never heard of anyone doing this, but it sounded cool to me, i think i may be the first one to think of this.
i just had a cool idea... i think.

i was just going through the wiki and came across the vr write ups, and i was reading about how they are prone to overheating. and i came up with this..

A few people have thrown that idea out. The issue is not cooling in and of itself, but rather the ability to ground the excess power. If the VR comes loose, losing the ability to dump to ground, it overheats inside well past what a fan can accomodate.

I had a post a while back where I took the vr and mounted it to the heat sync from an old computer. They laughed at me because it was too big. But it had a fan on it too. 12 volt even. Upon inspection I have deleted the photo. Oh well. Keep thinking though you never know what you might hit.

i just dont understand why it would be the vr. maybe its not getting a good connection? i ran the ground directly to the frame, i drimmeld it so it was bare metal.
Re: i just had a cool idea... i think.
From your other thread, you have a 5-pin VRR. It does NOT ground through its body, but through the dedicated ground pin. You could lap and wring the VRR housing to the frame, and it wouldn't improve anything.
You have to sort out the connection at the pins.
