Hey Guys,
I need some help here. I replaced my clutch cable and adjusted it using these step by step instructions.

Now my bike won't move or even turn off when I release the clutch lever in gear. Any ideas why?
Thanks in Advance.

how does the lever feel? loose? if so it needs to be tighter. for a test just try and tighten it as much as you have to till the clutch works. and if you max out all your adjustment points we all know your cable is not to blame. double check your work if you have to, its not hard to get taht cover off and take a look. check for the push rod also

Thanks Apsolus. I figured it out. I was tightening the push rod in all the way and turning it back 1/4 turn. I didn't realize that I wasn't supposed to turn it without any force. It even got rid of the slight clutch slip I used to have.

A,
did you get this bit sorted as well?,as it sounds like you dis-connected a wire on the safety switch by accident.

The reason why it wasn't turning off was because the clutch wasn't engaging and the motor was still running. I guess it only turns off if the clutch stops it.

Ummm - no. If your bike won't turn off, it has nothing to do with the safety switches. The Ignition Switch and Kill Switch are both hard power-interrupts to the coils and TCI box. If they don't shut off your engine, you have something (else) seriously wrong.
Safety switches prevent the engine from starting, or continuing to run - no combination of mis-wired safety interlocks will PREVENT it from shutting off!

My guess is, he means the bike didn't move nor stall when releasing his clutch lever.
Don take a look at the wiring diagram. When the ignition is switched on the coils are live regardless of the run stop switch position

That's exactly the word I was looking for (Stall). It wasn't stalling since the clutch wasn't engaging at all. It turns off fine with the stop button or when I turn the key to off.
Thanks Guys.

- the coils & kill switch split just after the IGNITION fuse, and the TCI is downstream of the kill switch.
