17" rear wheel

Post by ian »

Do I have to do a swingarm swap or can I get a 17 incher to go with the stock swingarm? I'm sick of only having one tire choice.

I'm looking at an option right now that uses a Suzuki rim. Up until now, the easiest has been the YZF swingarm swap.

1988-89 GSXR750/1100 rear wheel (Which is what Rage has on the hybrid he's building), these rims will probably require some machining (milling the sprocket carrier and custom spacers) to get them in , and they will match the stock front.

I think the 400 and 600 swingarms are identical in internal width. Any ideas how to check if this thing will line up? I don't have a chain that fits...

I have the YZF600 motor in there, so I think I'm real darn close.
