Coolant System Draining

I searched the forum but couldn't find my answer, so I apologize if this has been covered. I'm tearing down my FZR 600 to customize it, down to the frame. I'm trying to drain the cooling system, and I only have a pdf of the manual. The photos suck and I can't figure out what two (or three) bolts they're telling me to remove. It looked like an allen bolt, about 5/8 inch across on the lower left side, but when I removed it, oil came out, not coolant. The other one seems to be a small one on each side of the engine, on the front of the cylinders. They are philips head bolts. Any help is appreciated.

the easiest way to remove coolant from your engine is to remove the lower side of the big hose on the left side of the the bike; the big hose that comes from the radiator and goes to the water pump.Image

That's what I was thinking, I just wanted to make sure I'm getting the coolant out of the engine as much as possible. Thanks for the quick reply!

Remove the end closer to the water pump to get all the coolant out of the engine and make less of a mess.

if you want to get all the coolant out there are two bolts on the front side of the motor right under the head, unscrew them and a bit more coolant will come out.

Thanks all, those two bolts were the question, I wasn't sure that's where the arrow in the (shitty) photo was pointing.
