Does anyone have a link to an online retailer for the above. I also am looking for the MC rebuild (front and back)
I have been on line looking, but all 3 websites refer to different kit# (K&L) for the 600....???
thanks!

I think you are probably looking for something like this:
http://www.darkhorsemotorcycleparts.com ... Z1200.html but honestly for probably less money (maybe a lot less) you should be able to upgrade the fronts to 00-02 R6 calipers. They look nicer and come with a remote resevoir master cylinder and adjustable lever and are bolt on.

thanks-- but for some reason or other i cant seem to locate a front set, they all claim to be rear only.
Yeah, i could install more competent brakes, but this baby is special to me, and need to keep it stock. (or as much as i can).

The blue dots won't bolt on to the '89 forks anyways.

Not yet anyway! If the damn company would competently rewind my mill motor I have a template to make the adapter so they would bolt on.
Chris, I hear ya about keeping it stock, but this one of those situations were sometimes it doesn't make sense to. Are you sure you need a rebuild kit though? Have you pulled the seals and checked them for cracks etc? I remember looking into it awhile ago and it was stupid expensive for the seals for all 3 calipers.
Worst case I have some 89 calipers lying around the shop. I'm pretty sure the seals are in good condition. I can sell you the whole shebang or just the seals if you'd like. Let me know and I'll check them.

That would be cool. I'm sure a lot of guys would like to do this swap without having to swap out their forks as well.

This is exactly the reason I put blue dots on my 600. I think the rebuild kits were like twice as much as what I paid for the calipers. Granted, I only need to rebuild one side but I was still better off just getting the blue dots. However, the drawback here is that you never know what you're getting. I bought mine from a fellow board member / buddy of mine so I was confident that they were going to be fine (and they are).

you are right, i probably should upgrade. -- i think i will ride it out as is for the next season, and flip in late 2011.
I just bought some really nice brake lines, so i am already deviating from stock!

if you have to you can use a rear set caliper kit for the front, you just have to strech the seals alittle bit.
i did it because the dealer wanted $100+ for the front rebuild kit for the calipers and the rear was only like $20-$30, my brakes are fine.

Thanks Racerd, I really appreciate that!
I found 2 genuine OEM ones on ebay, still in the yammy plastic bags, so i am good.
And K&L has a rear one they make.
So i am all set.
