1992 fzr 600 side lights
hi,where are the side lights located on 1992 fzr 600 as i cant find where they are supposed to go one of the plugs is just hanging loose and i cant see the other one?
Re: 1992 fzr 600 side lights
they should mount on your side fairings . if your using the OEM stock fairing each should have a hole where the fairing goes in or covers . The other wire should be on the other side dangling somwhere . maybe under the front fairing havnt took it apart in ages . But each side should have wiring for each light . should be like 3 female end IIRC

One side of the indicator wires is real long and the other quite a bit shorter as it runs round the birdcage & headlight

I'll ask where are You located?
"side light" to me is UK speak.
The wiring on these bikes differ considerable, depending on which Continent Your on. Some States (USA) use running lights located inside the front blinkers. In the UK/Europe the side light is located inside the single 92 headlamp. My European import, 92 single head lamp with dual bulbs (1 for low beam, 1 for high beam) had NO side light, but there was a Blue connector (2 wires) hanging and not connected.
Above the single headlight was a hole (see photo below) that's where the Drive light/Side light/Running light, should have been on mine, I bought one off fleeBay.

Good Luck
Mal.

Re: 1992 fzr 600 side lights
also how hard was it to fit that r6 tail ?
Re: 1992 fzr 600 side lights
Jamie that R6 tail was on the bike when I bought it, I took it off and fitted an unmodified full R6 tail and R6 seats. I do have photo's somewhere of how it was fitted (the tail in my avatar) I'll dig them out and shoot you a PM later.jamie19 wrote:also how hard was it to fit that r6 tail ?
P.S. stick your location in your profile when you can please (even if it's just "UK"), I hope you now realise it helps us to help you, these lot didn't have a clue what sidelights were

Thanks
Mal.

You are right I did not understand side lights either I thought it was an American thing of having the Indicators on full time ie not blinking (HD I have seen do that) hence no answer from me.
