Rims Stripped!!

Ok so again...quick background...bought the bike for a winter project for $1000. My goal is not to exceed $2000.

I stripped the rim lips today and painted the center of the rims black. All in all, it really isnt too hard, but since I have not invested in a motorcycle jack I had to be creative and use rachet straps to the crossbeams in my garage. Worked well, just time consuming.

All total I have $90 in parts/supplies for the bike.

4 flush mount turn signals- $45
rim stripper- $20 (Bought an extra can)
headlight bulbs-@25

The bike rims look better in person then they do in the picture.

I'm quite the fan of polished lips. Even wrote a write up on the subject. My only suggestion would be to do something with the center of the rotors. As can be seen on my bike here done in satin black :

And in orange on the wheels for Scarlett's (another member on the forum) bike here:

Otherwise great job

I like it too. It shall be my second winter project. If you need a good cheap stand. harborfreight.com has them for 39.99 and it's a good quality one.
