Hi guys, i have a fzr 600 95 us model. the bike buckaroos @ 2250 to 2500rpm wot ever gear. The bike had been standing for a year b4 i got it, i soon put a full micron exhaust on (can't remember if buckarooed b4) since the prob i've balanced carbs, checked all jets fuel and air and carbs cleaned needles ect. Didn't do any thing 2 needles or mixture screws (they have bungs in) Not sure wot else could be, Please help. Thanks

You say you balanced the carbs do you mean statically or in action with a carb synching tool,

As a matter of interest how are you so sure it is a US model bike

thank you. The frame numbers start 3HHE, acording to haynes manual it's US 1995. I balanced carbs using the vacume dial gauges. This did make a differance as the bike only did 120mph b4 balenceing.

Ok so may be a set of Euro carbs without the sealed adjustments might be in order?

the bike should be capable of at least 143mph like mine ( santa pods timing about 3 years ago.) & that is as far as I can tell bone stock.

in the manual the pilot jets and pilot fuel are diff between US and euro, and lookin into it b4 probs that low in rev range is 2 do with pilot system. ebay it is then, set of carbs. thanks

Wouldn't top end be affected a lot by things like sprocket gearing and ride stats we don't know?

i'm happy with top end 140 now, it's the lower revs which are the problem

I guess my question is, why are you trying to go WFO at just off idle? Why the HELL are you trying to go WFO at 2250rpm in 6th gear ("every gear")?

These are high-revving engines; part of that character is that they carburet like crap off the bottom, and you have to use your left foot to keep them in the proper engine rev range. If you're turning 2250 in 6th, drop two or three gears and feel the magic!

+1. If it seems to run perfectly now after carb cleaning and syncing above three thousand rpm, then I say just keep it above there. If your rpm's are dipping that low, it's probably time to change gear.

yeah so your bike must really "buckaroo" alot for you to complain aboutit right? you dont need to replace your carbs to get past those covers to the idle screws you know. just carefully drill throu them then you can tweek them and have the bike running perfect foryou

They are tamper proof plugs (bungs) get them outa there, also I have a raped set of UK carbs (for spares), if the Jets you require match UK specs (I think they will) give me a shout. I'm talking postage and packing + £1 to cover paypal fees e.t.c.

thanks for help, goin a have a play with mixer screws, when stops raining. when i put buckaroos in every gear, this was just a trial. i mostly happens in 1st sittin at 5mph (slow traffic)

hows your chain and sprockets if there worn and loose it can affect your herky jerky also

haven't had chance 2 try any thing yet. but brother in law has just brought same bike so goin 2 swap carbs over see if any change. some 1 at work said could be crack in valve has only does at low revs, possible?????????
