so much better than the bt014 we have now, truly modern rubber that'll fit on our bikes without mods. It's a 150/70/18, a 60 series isn't available but I'm not worried. I ran this as a 160 when the 150 hadn't come out and it was awesome in dry and wet. I'd estimate I got around 8-10k from it too.

I was worried with the impending departure of the BT014 another of our options would disappear. Now I can hold off the 17' conversion and focus on a rear suspension upgrade. I redid the front fork fluid and switched back to the 110 size up front and I'm getting a real idea of how this bike originally handled so a better rear would do good things.

I can't help but think that it might be a typo. Why would they go and make that tire for an 18" rim?

I hope not. Might make it a purchase next check since this bt014 fails so hard in the rain. I'll report back on the existence of the tire

if this doesn't exist those are a possibility. I've abandoned the idea of the yzf swingarm (too bad I have shreds and some new bearings ) and plan to do the rear wheel only swap (f2,f3,gsxr) since it'd let me keep the fzr front sprocket and allows for the 400 swinger if I wanna go shorter on the wheel base. Also the stones are notably more cheap than the Avon with comparable mileage.

I went on Bridgestone's site and could not find that size listed, I am real interested to see if the tire does exist. Please report back if someone does gets one.

I have Bridgestone Battleax BT45, I don't know how they would hold up to track use, but I know I've put at least 5000 miles on mine and they still look brand new. Even so I have nipples on my chicken strips. I paid 129 for the set in town.

I'm not a track rider (yet), I just know I love these. I see the 45's are bias ply, never ridden them so I wouldn't even know what to expect.

I don't know either. Not even really sure what that means. All I know is how these feel and then when i got the bike I had Avon's on. Don't know the type but they were 300 $ a set and I wasn't going to pay for that. But they were worn out so I bought new ones as soon as I could.

I have the Shinko 006's now. Radial tires in the correct sizes that work well and are affordable.

_Will_ said he ran a 160/70-18 016. Was that on a 4" wide rim and if so how did it work?

5000 miles and Track Use... those 2 do not mix. You have to remember that a softer tire is going to be good for the track, but will not last long on the street. The BT-45 is a harder tire that will give extended use with minimal wear; however, you will sacrifice traction.

Would the BT45s be good for the track? At a "Test the Track"-type track day they would be fine. Anything more and I would not use them. Plus, the radius is not made for any serious angle.

The BT-016s would be a nice Track Day tire in the Novice or Intermediate group assuming you can get your bum off the bike and leave the bike more upright.

The 160 worked without rubbing for me. I'm running a 520 chain with a stock fzr600 swinger. The profile was pinched which made for great turn in since it gave it a triangular shape but there was a lot of movement at a decent lean because of the shape of the tire it made being pinched. The 150 is much more controlled and also secure at lean. It also let's you get lower compared to a pinched 160. My personal experience is 160 I ran out of tire before ground clearance, the 150 was the opposite.
