well went and bought more parts last weekend because i felt i didnt have enough stuff clogging up just about all usable space in my truck and my apartment got a very nice set of front forks frame and an engine which doesnt run but should be good for parts if i need it so to my question the forks like brand new almost looks like they came out of factory in 93 paint also in perfect condition bad is well quite a few small nicks in the tubes where of course the seals will leak now is there anyway to have the fork tubes rechromed to take out the nicks and have a really awsome set of forks or am i wasting my time any comments or suggestions would be great thanks again hope everybodys been riding their ass off too nice weather wont stay much longer

Forks can be ground & re-chromed the "good ole boys" on their Hogs do it all the time.
Look up in your local yellow pages either custom bike or chroming and give them a call as to who they use in the case of the bike builder.

burns556 - That is the longest sentence I have ever seen. I just picture you taking a long, deep breath after typing that.... ha!
Chroming is expensive, but get it priced out. You might want to keep an eye out for a cheap set of FZR forks though.

Last I knew,
BRAND NEW replacement fork tubes were $110 from 'Forking by Frank'
http://www.frankmain.qpg.com/
The website is primitive and is just a phone number referrer, so give them a call...
I seriously doubt you could have a set re-chromed and re-ground for that price.
