1989 fzr600 fuel pump switch
stock fuel pump died. tryed finding the electrical connectors insted of buyin the whole pump but......... no one sells them. after researching it im trying out a mr. gasket universal fuel pump i found at advance auto. its a 4-7psi max and 35gph. if the pump is self regulating it should work. wish me luck. ill post what happens

Nothing new as it's been done a few times. i'll eventually mount the same pump to my bike as well.

My fuel pump has also just died, it wasn't the switch (points) inside the pump, it appears the internal windings are shorting. Luckily I had a spare recently bought as working off fleabay I've had it for over one month, that also has fried windings 
.
I ordered This (<---click there) which arrived Today.
The biggest problem is finding somewhere to mount it, and route the fuel hoses so they have no kinks (I have a T-Cat tank) I'll upload a photo Tomorrow showing where and how I mounted it.

It's all fitted and working fine, like I mentioned finding the ideal spot for mounting took the longest to figure out. Will it go here? put the tank back on NO, take the tank back off, move the pump and repeat and repeat................. Then route the hoses, avoiding any kinks or contact with other components, I cut the hoses long then cut 1" off refitted, cut another inch off until I was satisfied.
With the FZR tank it may bolt on the bottom of the tank, but you will probably need some 8mm internal diameter fuel hose and 2 hose clips (I did).
Pump with bracket, the rubber grommet is off the stock pump
Note the bracket runs parallel with the carbs, the pump is angled so the filter fits between the starter motor and cam chain tensioner, all hoses are clear of other components, the tape is there for insurance, it will move while riding.
The filter was connected to the new fuel hose, and needs reconnecting and screwing to the tank, I used the bracket to prop the tank.
Easy access, and both hands free.
