FZR & YZF questions

I just picked up a 95 YZF600 top end in order to do the 660 conversion to my spare FZR motor. Can I still use the original FZR carb boots, and carbs? And to anyone who has done the conversion, what is the longevity of one of those engines.
Thanks,
Arlen

FZR carb boots will be too small for the YZF intake spigots. FZR spigots will not match the shape of the YZF intake port.

yeah.... me and my neighbor, (funny thing he has a yzf and I have a fzr) so I went and looked at his bike often as I do while Im brainstorming.... the motor is just about the same cast, even down to the bolt holes for mounting the lower frame components that we have that they dont... the top end is where it changes... the cylinder sleeves and the carbs are different... different shape different sizes... very similar, but just off enough for you to have to buy one or the other ... thanks YAMAHA... but you can find YZF carbs easy enough, even if you go on the Thundercat sight... they get rid of them.... you then have to run pods most likely unless your swapping to a yzf tank too, or you can modify the airbof in some strange fashion...
