FZRSupport: the FZROnline Archive

I'm wondering if there arent two types of stock pipes and exhaust the early year FZR's came with? Microfiche would say no but.... My '93 has the angled down pipes (less clearance over the screw on oil filter)no fins on the stud brackets and the smaller muffler in back. My'89 has the more swooping out pipes off the head (more clearance presumably for the cartridge type filter), finned stud brackets and then back to a noticeably larger stock yamaha muffler. Both set-ups seem to be common. Are they both stock for the FZR600?

I do believe the 89s had a different exhaust set-up that the rest of the years. If I'm not mistaken, only 89 had an all black exhaust can.
