PIckup coil testing/replacement

The manual say to use a VOM to test the pickup coil. Positive to red/white and negative to black/white. The multimeter should be set to Ohm x100, however mine only does x1 x10 and x1k. Yes I'm an electrical noob. Should I set it to 10 and divide my result by 10 :headscratch: Also, if it is bad can it be replaced without buying a new stator?

BTW. Manual say the reading should be between 80 and 120 ohms. At x10 and x1k I"m getting 0. At x1 I'm getting around 80 :tard:

OK at 1x 80-80, but when set to 10x I get 0. Maybe the multimeter is toast.
If someone can answer the other part of the question it would be great. Can a pickup coil be purchased seperate from the stator?
