Backfiring through the carbs

Just finished getting the bike back together. I went to start it and it won't turn over. It just backfires through the carbs. While my kids think this is pretty cool, it really doesn't make me very happy. Any ideas on this one?
OK I wired the coils backwards. I feel like an idiot.
