FZRSupport: the FZROnline Archive

I was just looking at my friends YZF600 today and thinking..has anyone ever bought a YZF600 aftermarket header and put it on their FZR. So i thought i'd post the question here. I know the YZF600 is like the newer version of the FZR, and the engines are very similar but the head is slightly different because of the mounts. So anyone tried this? or heard of someone who has? I heard the engines are mounted with different slants, that's the only thing i can think of that would interfere with the installation. It looks like it would mount up when comparing the stock headers to each other by eye. This would be a good mod if it works, unless someone knows somewhere that still makes an aftermarket header for our bikes.

thats for an r6 header , i've never owned either but i assume they're both similar to the fzr's . vance and hines still makes a full system for fzr600's too . there might even be others still making full systems . i'm still running the stock stuff so i'm sure someone else will chime in .

I thought I remember reading that the yzf headers hand down too far or something. Could be wrong though

i just mic'd my friends header, and the stock yzf600 header is only 1mm larger on each of the runners, but it does have the 4-2-1 header setup. i like that link though, i know if i can get a header, me and my friend can weld the inserts, so that's no prob. nice mod though.
