voltage regulator alternatives ?

just wondering if anyone has used unorthodox alternatives to stock VR's... automotive or stuff from generic parts places

i have a 94 fzr 600r

pretty much anything yamaha works...

I think one dude is using one he pulled off some tractor.

Go with a newer R6 or YZF600 VR. You have to do some rewiring to make it work though.
