Stock overflow bottle

I got my 600 just over a year ago, PO had fitted a cut down R6 5EB tail, with stock FZR seats, im in the process of fitting a replacement 5EB tail and seats (looks far better, thanks to all the members who post in the "Hybrid Sportbike" forum) yzf600 tank is now mounted, as is riders seat, just need to fab the brackets for the pillion seat.

Question is.

Is my overflow bottle stock? i recall seeing photos of the overflow bottle mounted on the subframe, mine is not and leaking where the overflow tube enters, also does the overflow bottle have an leak off tube? I assumed mine was stock but now im unsure. ive searched but cant find a definite answer.

Mines mounted, well lying un-fixed top side of the under fender between the TCI and the battery tray, bottom centre of photo. any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is not a stock overflow bottle. But it's cool because you have eliminated the problem of relocating the overflow bottle in case of tail swap. All you have to do is to stop it leaking. And yes it does have a leakoff tube.

Thank you, after all the reading iv'e done here, that's why i thought it wasn't stock.

It was the PO that solved the relocation of the over flow bottle, maybe i just need to fix/make it stable. Probably why its leaking.

now where did i store all those cable ties

The stock overflow is difficult to relocate due to the odd shape. A lot of people use certain ATV bottles (eBay Link) as they are generally smaller and box-shaped.

ModKing also does an allot custom job with o/flow.
I just ordered on to be shipped end of this month :-} that bolts to the front engine bars

I'll look into the mentioned alternatives, if i cant solve the leak (its the bottle not the tube) lot's more space now between the subframe and newly fitted tail, my scottoiler lube tube is going in one side. I prefer easy access to check/refill, so modking's looks good, don't want to remove the tail just to top up if needed.

get hold of ModKing ASAP since he likes batch work rather than one ,one etc as I said he is doing one for me .
Mine is going on the right hand frame tube not on the left as his pictures shows you may want to say which side you intend to put yours as the mounting tab differs.
He mounted his own with self tapping screws I am doing mine with rivnuts ( a kind of popriveted nutsert) in the down tube much tidier and no rust holes in later life.
I bought the tool many years ago and I have not regretted the original expense.see:

Short of funds at the moment (May car mot, bike insurance, tax, then mot in June) not to mention my recent outlay on parts e.t.c. plus i want modkings head tool, like you im also a tool collector, that bottle is in the wish list.

Is that a pop rivet gun? i have 2, are rivnuts used with pop rivets? the ones ive seen are, but only come in mild steel. I have 3.2mm & 4.8mm stainless steel pop rivets (no rust) dented my can so dismantled it rolled out the dent, hence the need for the stainless steel pop rivets.
