Anyone have info on upgrading this single piston front end to the much improved 99-02 R6 front calipers? The 89 bolt pattern is the same as 86-88 FZ600 lowers. Not sure if later FZR models were equiped the same.

I thought the blue dots are direct bolt on for the dual pistons and not the single ones, I could be wrong though.

YUP that is my memory too that '90 onwards had 4 pucks and are thus Blue Spot swaps.

89 forks will not be bolt on with the blue dots. They only use single pot and the bolt distance is different.

on my 95 i used the blue dot ones... they worked great! since i had to rebuild them anyway i powdered them gloss black while i had them apart... for the front brake master i used a CBR master with adjustable lever...again tore that down and powdered it as well
got them and the braided lines for $30 on ebay

If you are good fabricator then adapters can be made to allow for the 4 pot calipers. Otherwise a full set of 90+ forks or fork lowers is the way to go.

Cool, thanks for the feedback. I can fabricate a bracket - just looking for an easy way out. I was given the forks and are already bolted on - hate to buy just the lowers AND the calipers. I can deal with the bracket. Thanks again and sweet ride you got there, JRK.
