Hi All, what a great site!!
my names Dan and i have just brought myself a 93 fzr 600, not on the road but in five very big boxes, i am so looking forward to rebuilding it,
The engines in bits (head gasket went ) as well.
So my first port of call is going to be ebay for a manual.
i am thinking street fighter but i would love to bolt on a few r6 parts to give it so lines
The Frame looks a little tired so what do you all think get it blasted and chrome or coated.
i am really looking for some ideas
Cheers
Dan

nice to see a fellow Brit on the board please put your location in your profile as we do have a british chapter, where we try & meet up, the next one is at the Peterboro BMF and one in June in Nottinghamshire .
As for a manual there is an online version in the WIKI, our WIKI is full of tech stuff for the FZR as well as sections for engineering to do with bikes in general , what yer can swap , save weight, HOW-to's by our own guys an the "features" the FZR has.:-}
As to the frame stay away from chroming the chroming process uses some very aggressive chemicals and Japanese steel & welds do not always react favourably with them (do not as how I know :-{ )
Re: FZR 600 £150
Hi George thanks for the warm welcome
the bikes now total in bit bit of to the shop to have gaskets replaced and there is a lug missing on the alternator side of the engine so its getting a new bit fitted.
so that leaves the Swingarm from the r6 going on and then off to get it powder coated all black.
i do like the look of the r6 conversion so i think it`s money well spent the fzr swingarm just looks tired.
right back of to the garage
