Head gasket questions

I just put my engine back together after replacing the cylinder and head gaskets and I think the head gasket is leaking. I cleaned everything off really well and I don't know what went wrong. Anything special you need to consider when replacing the head gasket? Shoult I use any gasket sealant or anything? The manual is very vague. Also what order should I torque the bolts down in? Do I have to get another new gasket since I have to take it apart again?

You shouldn't have to replace it since it's still freshly installed.. Your best bet is to tear it down again and inspect the mating surfaces on the bottom of the head and the top of the cylinder block. Make sure there's no pitting from rust and also make sure that there's no nicks, cuts our gouges in the surfaces either. You should also check the head to ensure that it's not warped. I wouldn't use any type of sealant on the head or base gasket as they're not designed to withstand the test of time..
As for the tightening torque and their order..
Cylinder head - 25Nm - 2.5 m / kg - 18 ft lb.
Tightening sequence can be found in the service manual.. Chapter 4-75. or below:
|11| |7| |3| |1| |5| |9|
|10| |6| |2| |4| |8| |12|
To check the head to see if it's warped, refer to Chapter: 4-23
Hope that helps..
