Mine burnt 3 out in 12 months, blew h/lamp bulbs, burnt the turn signal relay, boiled the battery (all due to over charging) luckily the TCI survived also melted the connector. Check your stop tail bulbs and turn signal relay.

There's a three way connector coming from the stator/alternator grey cables covered in fabric, the other side of the connector the three white cable's lead to the VR/regulator (the connector is located below the fuel tank, left hand side) check yours, mine was very dirty, corroded, and also melted, i cut it off and soldered the cables together. Dirty/corroded connections in any electrical circuit will cause heat (the cables will get hot).

Check your charging system http://fzronline.com/wiki/doku.php?id=v ... flow_chart

I done the R6 VR mod yesterday, http://fzronline.com/wiki/doku.php?id=r ... conversion

DO NOT EVER SPRAY INFLAMMABLE SOLVENTS ON CHARGING SYSTEM CONNECTORS I.E. WD40 TO AID CLEANING!!!! FIRE HAZZARD!!!

one fire damaged FZR600 VR connecter as proof, I was watching as i done it (it was already melted) :)
