Tuning with an AFR, reading @ idle?

Post by gooserex »

I'm new to tuning with an AFR, and I was curious what would be an ideal reading for idle? ANY other pointers are welcome.

Thanks!

The only data I've ever seen is for my little 250, at 3.5-4.5% CO, which kinda startled me (I'm an engineer with an industrial burner company, and we shoot for < 100ppm CO) :dubious: . That said, I've been doing a lot of reading on EFI, and a frequent comment is that a lot of engines like to idle rich.

Make of that what you will...
