Has anyone done a yzf fork swap, I looked in the wiki and all I saw was for the R6.
I also tried a search and came up with nothing.
I'm just looking at my options, I found some 98 forks for cheap.
Thanks for your help

NB
Some one has done this for almost certainty., BUT you will need the triple tree & forks may be even the wheel to make it all work.
see what you mean with the search TOO common words '98 , YZF, fork , swap

If you can get the whole front end (that means EVERYTHING) then it's complete bolt on swap . Only thing is you'll lose the functionality of your speedo. The YZF speedo isn't cable/gear driven like the FZR.

Ok, but what about the YZF600r forks, is the speedo cable driven or is it like the YZF-6R?
I would like to change up the front end but I dont want to change springs, oil and emulators.
Thanks

HOLY COW..... Sweekster got one wrong. Sorry, couldn't resist. It is the only time I've seen it happen - I usually look for post by you to check my own thinking. The YZF600 is in fact cable driven just like the FZR600. The R6 is the one that is digital.
I'd even bet that it will have the same spin rate making the speedo correct. But I'm just guessing on that part.

Well Superman has to take his cape off every now and then

. Yeah Cad's right on that one. The speedo is cable driven.

You only said that the YZF was not cable driven, not which YZF. Perhaps you were talking about the R6 which then, you would be correct.

ALL Yamaha cable speedo drives have the same ratio
