valve lifters

so im in the process of putting my '89 back together and the vavle lifters got all jumbled up, so i have no clue which lifter goes with what valve. how screwed am i? from what im told im up the creek. priced new lifters and had a heartattack. any advice?

you talking the shims? Or the buckets?

Eitherway you are going to have to install them, install teh cams and use a feeler gauge to check clearances and remove the cams and adjust accordingly.

Not screwed....or needing to buy new ones...just have a bunch more work than if you had them organized
