Okay so i thought i fixed the problem i had before with the bike not running. well i didnt. my original problem is it wouldnt turn over the oil and neutral light would come on. so it ended up the cover was the problem it had been wrecked and it was dented in and wouldnt let the starter engage. so i put my good cover on it off of my working engine and it did it again and this cover is perfect so i just barely loosened the bolts cuz i tightened them alot so there were at the point right before they have friction with the cover and it spins over. i wrecked my bike with this engine is it possible that i might of pushed the crank over some? but the wierdest thing is the fact that when it is tightened down all the way the cover i mean i dont have the other cover on so i take a wrench to it and it will turnleft if u are spinning the stator side looking at the bike but if u try to go right it will stop it wont budge but then it will spin just fine going the other way again.... i checked all the gear and bearings that are on the cover and on the starter side of the engine and they are all lubed and spin good till the cover is tight. what should i do next? buy another engine

Yes, you may have damaged the engine beyond proper repair. However, pull the cover off and check the part number on it. The stator covers from both model YZF600 engines look the exact same but will not work properly on the FZR engine. And a lot of people can't tell the difference in items they are selling. So check that first just to make sure. If it is the correct cover, having a mechanic open it up to see what is wrong is too costly, about 6 hours of work for a mechanic @ $80/hr. I would just go buy a new engine.

Then it probably is the FZR cover. It is always good to second check on those since they are so similar to the YZF cover. My guess is the engine has internal damage. By a replacement engine instead of throwing money at that one.
