Electrical Issues

Turn signals stopped working today so I was checking the relay and then they briefly worked. Then I noticed the neutral indicator light would not come on anymore & the bike will start in gear with the kickstand down. Im assuming relays...but both at once? Any suggestions as to where to purchase the relays or maybe neutral switch is bad???

It doesn't explain the signals starting to work again but bulbs starting to burn out may point to a regulator / rectifier problem.

I checked the indicator bulbs & they were still good. At first I checkecd the flasher relay by tapping it a little. That was when it worked again for a few seconds. Then I noticed the neutral light was off. However, if it was just the bulbs it wouldnt start IN GEAR with the kickstand down. Which it did, when I shifted into first gear and hit the starter button. Flasher relay is most likely the culprit for the signals. But what circuits does the relay next to it control?

Check your fuses.

IF your safety circuits have now decided to mal-function then I would be looking at damage thro corrosion on your connection.
The fact the relay worked briefly again after tapping it is agood indicator of connection problems.

I have no idea what the weather is likely to be by you at present but here in the northern hemisphere it is going into winter & dampness on dry corrosion will give you troubles.

Kindly put your location in your profile for better advice .

Interestingly enough, the fuse for the signal circuit was bad. It looked good at first...but I guess I missed it. The safety circuits are working fine now, but the signals don't flash. I assume the flasher went which caused the fuse to blow when it came on for a few seconds. The flush mounts aren't grounded(I didn't install them) & I have noticed that the headlights dim at idle...possibly VR going bad???
