Take a look in the WIKI TECH pages:-
http://fzronline.com/wiki/doku.php?id=tech_books_links

second section USEFUL URL's

lists the FZR manual take a look ,that is what we all refer to

Just about every newbs questions can be found in the SEARCH thro the Forum & truly tech stuff in the WIKI even down to engineering for bike mods.

Yep, the filter is on the lower front of the motor behind the headers. Since you have a '90, I think the bike has the NON- spin-on type drop-in filter that goes inside an aluminum canister. I'm guess that's what's throwing you.

In case you are looking for a car filter that fits the bike. Anything that is for a 1992 Mazda Miata (or MX-5 or Eunos-depending on where you are in the world) will fit the FZR.

The wiki has a replacement chart for filters & oil filter tests

Someone needs to design an emoticon of YG pointing at the word WIKI. Probably save him a lot of typing... LOL!
