Why does my bike hate the rain?

Noticed a trend that when it's raining my 600 will start to miss and bog at low rpm's but only in the rain. At higher speeds the problem is lessened and when it's dry and sunny out it runs like a champ. The problem is intermittent but does seem to be getting more prevalent.

94 600
D&D slip on
Stock air filter
Never been into the carbs so no idea what the PO's have done.

might be cracking plug wires when its more humid they can arc easier cause the air is more conductive

yep, +1

Dielectric grease in the plug cap helps.

The stock plug wires can be replaced with any good solid cored 7mm wire. Clip them off right at the coils and then you'll need a pick to dig the wire out of the coil (it's epoxied in after screwing onto the brasss screw in the wire well of the coil). The plug caps screw right into the wire.

sounds like you got some wet wires that are grounding out...go over you harness and check all connections and make sure there is no bare wire showing.
