Hey fellow FZR riders, I am from California and have had my FZR600 for close a year now, I ride it every day and slowly working on it. But I have some questions....First I have a new oil leak which is drippin from between the engine and oil tank I belive its a gasket, so are there any good gasket sets out there I can change them out with? Also I want a exhaust slip on but I do not like the V&H SSR2, So can I pertty much fit any exhaust onto it? I have seen people using I belive a 08 R6 Exhaust, are thos hard to mount or they just fit right on?

Thanks!!!!

"between the engine and oil tank"??????????????????????....?
you mean between the engine case and oil pan? yes that would mean get a new oil pan gasket. any gasket is fine. go order one up from your local shop(not dealer).
People do a R6 header conversion which allows you to use any r6 slip-on you want. some just mock up a mount for the shorty R6 can to fit the fzr headers.
info on R6 header here viewtopic.php?f=53&t=587
He has one for sale ready to bolt on for $130 shipped. and YES its a performance mod...I saw a HUGE difference in low-end power when I did mine

I know i know sorry i could not think of the right words when i wrote this :tard:
but the oil is running down a wire cover and dripping down so i havent exactly found the leak but it does come from the engine case and oil pan theres a little space between and thats where it drops from. and it didnt start till i started riding it alot.
WOW low-end??? thats exactly what i want.
Thanks!

If you dont mind getting a custom midpipe made at your local exhaust shop, you can fit just about any muffler you want to any header you want. The R6 header upgade is a good bang for the buck mod and will give you more performance and more options for mufflers to bolt on, but keep in mind, you will need to rejet the carbs after installing any header. Ive got a 07 R6 shorty muffler on a D&D header and really like it. Its still pretty loud, but not too bad and still maintains the low throaty FZR sound.

ok look under the bike from the exhaust side between the engine case and oil pan case there is a small space and between the there is a wire casing i think or the over flow tube and the oil is coming from inside the little gab but i cannot see exactly where its runing down the wire casing and dripping.

I will put it on the stand tomorrow and take pictures and post them.

I really appreciate the help guys

ok here are some pictures, first i was wrong its on the kickstand side and i noticed alot is in the gear box aread (sorry if im wrong im still learning) and its all over the bottom kick stand side all over the kickstand the spring the wire but dosnt go higher then the shifter peg, so I am not sure at all but i noticed on the engine there seems to be oil also in the front right above the exhaust headers....

I am at a loss I dont know where to begin...

ok so the oil is dripping from under the gear box? and bottor of the engine and splatterd all over i cleaned to to see if i could find it better but its a very slow leak and stops after a while

you can see the oil all over

take that sprocket cover off (dont mess with the clutch cable leave it attached. and see if its leaking behind the shift rod or front sprocket. You also definately need to get a stator cover but I'm sure your aware of that.
