Re: 1989 fzr 600 help!!!!!
Travis,
Welcome to our community and hope you find your needs met.
If the spark is inside the plug not at the tip, I would be trying fresh plugs (prefereably precious metal single point plugs (iridium?) ) and gapping them propoerly.
Take alook at the SEARCH facility here as thei topic is usually a new members 1st Question (might not be an 89 but they all work the same )
In the WIKI there should be a Flow chart of what to check if such and such does not work.
One thing about this mob is that we do tend to document stuff for those who come after us with what we have already done / solved/ banged our heads on etc.

I just wanted to mention jetting. When the weather changed here in Arizona, my bike started cutting out the same way you described. I later had the carb jets reset and that cured the problem (also check your EXUP value adjustment). It seems my jets were set for colder weather, and when it warmed up here, the heat from the engine was vaporizing too much of the fuel ... or something like that (I'm not very mechanical). But that's what my mechanic said.
