I am planning a brake checkup on my FZR and have read the Wiki How-To (which is awesome) but I'm curious, before I tear this thing apart, is there a need to replace the seals on the calipers, or just clean them up, as BNT83 seems to imply.
And is there a kit of the seals? (I can only imagine what the dealership is going to want for them! They wanted $6 for one of the fairing bolts!)
PS - Side note from the awesome ride this weekend: Route 50 Between Winchester, VA and Clarksburg, WV is some of the best road I've ridden. maps.google it and check it out. I came upon a group of 4 guys from NJ (Suz SV, Honda SuperSport, R1 and R1200) who were riding back from the Indianapolis GP this weekend. They were great riders and the little FZR kept up fine!

I got caliper seal kits fom Cyclepartswarehouse.com and they weren't too bad. I'm in the middle of a front brake cleaning/rebuild/upgrade myself, and I'm just replacing the seals for good measure.
Mine's a 97, and it had 2 pistons per caliper that were pretty much locked up, though I have 28k on my bike, so it really depends on the bike. I would say if you can afford it and will have the calipers apart anyway, go ahead and replace the seals so you don't have to take the calipers apart and replace the seals later.

If you need/want it, I made a video how to of cfully servicing a rear MC and rear caliper. I can upload it to you tube tonight. I keep meaning to talk to darrin about putting it on the site but keep forgetting. Anyway, let me know.

I found this nice little device for bleeding brakes. It cost 50 cents ($7) more than the same length of vinyl tubing at NAPA, so I figured WTHN.
It worked great too! The little magnet attached to the cap sticks right on the rotor.
Also, it comes with a T-split that would work great for doing both sides of the rear calipers at the same time.
