hi been getting some ideas of the site for my own bike for a while, three months on and im finished 95% to list what iv'e done
yzf 600 thundercat engine, fzr 600 3he electrics, flywheel machined internal taper, better ignition advance and not screaming to 14,000 rpm a safe 12,000 limit
fzr600 4jh swing arm & wheel , r6 2008 shock shorter dog bones r1 rear lights modified plastics, fazer front calipers home made chain guard , stainless down pipes, titanium can, r6 voltage regulator
some of the bits have been easy some instructions are missing like keeping 530 chain, the back run off the front sprocket fouls the frame so has to be modified i found this out after the build, but all in its a great site for info and mods ,so please keep up the great work
things to do next are gearbox 2nd gear problem jumps out under fast load ok if you take it easy and a front end mod don't know yet what to go for
so thanks to everyone who posted there mods if ever you see me please stop me and go for a beer cheers mike

Nice work! Looks good. Did you have to remake your shock mount to flip that shock around to clear the reservoir? The res looks like it is lower than mine. Im using a 07 R6 shock.

That's a tasty machine. Some FZR600R pillion hangers would look sweet, and fit with only minor fettling.

Nice! I had to completely work mine. The reservoir hit the gusseting. I had to flip mine to clear my YZF swingarm. But I think your shock can make that swap easier for others since the mount did not have to be remade. Im going to borrow one of your pictures and put it in my swingarm write up if you dont mind.

bike looks fantastic. get the transmission fixed sooner rather than later. right now you probably just have to replace a shift fork or two. i had a problem with 3rd gear when i first got the bike. i just didn't use third gear. one day getting on the freeway i accidentally shifted to third and gave her a handful of throttle. kaboom, time to rip apart the entire engine to get at the trans

The last pic you have posted there.. What's the braided line that looks to be bypassing the water pump?

the braided hose is for the oil cooler, water flowing from the pumped side, to cooler, to radiator . in the uk as it is so hot we need the extra cooling (ye right it's currently pissing down we had a 3 day summer this year yaaaaaaa ) . uk spec fzr 600 3he has an air to air oil cooler , frz600r /yzf600 thundercat has a water oil cooler
i would love to live in a nice warm place ride my bikes all the time

Nice looking bike. Did you paint the Haga colors or are they vinyl graphics?

some 90/93 uk spec bikes had no oil cooler just seems to be what they had at the factory at the time in the book it says oil cooler i just went off that , paper filter usually had a cooler .
the bike was painted in 2001 when haga should have had the no 1 plate but its getting tired now so i will see what comes up
