Does anybody have the bearing cross reference number for the pilot bearing that sits inside the starter cover (not the facorty part number) but the number for one that can be cross referenced at a bearing house?

If you are talking about the peanut cover bearing it's NTN I believe 6200. Just ordered one today so I'll let you know tomorrow if it's correct. It's 6200 or 8200 is the issue. The stamping looks very similar.

Make it happen. It's why we have a WIKI in the first place.

Kid, that's the bearing that I'm interested in. I have a badly rashed up peanut cover from my incidnet a couple weeks back its not leaking so i'd like to keep it as a spare and not gut it for the bearing nor pay $20 some odd dollars to the dealer for a new one. I'll be standing by for your assesment. I tried calling NRC yesterday as their covers are still availble and come with the bearing already installed but their tech people were all busy when I called and then I got busy. Bearing cross reference info is prime Wiki material. There is already a start in our Wiki here we just need to keep adding to it as the opportunities present themselves.

Where are you looking to order the bearing from? I know Accurate Bearings (http://www.accuratebearing.com/)is where TK and I got our bearings from and they are really nice there and will ship it to you.

Got them today. The number was correct. It's 6200 ZZ NTN from accurate bearing. It's not an open bearing like the stock one though. I don't think it's going to be an issue. They said I could pop the seals off if it was a problem. Total cost per bearing....... $2.85!

The number is 1-800-323-6548

You Da MAN! Somebody who can, Wiki this for the next guy/gal that needs it. I have big bearing houses locally so I might try there but if they aren't able to support my needs then I'll give accurate a call.

I updated the Wiki on the fzr600 with the bearing numbers that were made available in the past couple weeks.

Here's another number for the same application. This is the sealed model verses the shielded model. The sealed model is bearing number 6200 2RSJEM. I have one in my possession and I will try and bang it into the cover tonight.

Banged the new bearing into the new cover last night without issue. I will post pics later after Ifigure out how to get them off my phone. I ended up successfully bidding on a peanut cover that I didn't look at closely enough as when I received it it ended up being a YZF style with the beveled top and bottom rather than the whole thing being round. I don't expect to have issues fitting the YZF peanut cover as I believe they are compatible. If that is the case it will give others options for replacement peanut covers.

Ok I'm pleased to report the beraing match is a confirmed lead pipe winner as is the YZF peanut cover. I installed everything this morning before it got crazy hot outside and everything is good to go. The only casuality was one of my starter/peanut cover cap head bolts. All the cover bolts were crazy tight. The one I had wallered out so bad I had to cut a slit in it with my dremel and use the flat screw driver trick. I even broke one large screwdriver tip trying to remove it after I cut the slit in the cap. Geezus! One front right side foot peg and it will be back on the road albeit with some extra character until I pony up the money for new plastics and a birdcage. Hope this info will help somebody out in the future.
