carb question

Post by FZRrider09 »

I was running my FZR today and it was idleing, i noticed it would spit fuel out of the #1 carb every once in a while like it was back firing, is this a carb issue or is it timing. I know it needs major carb work as it was sitting for who knows how long before I got it. Also does the air box on make a big difference as to how it runs. Thanks! :duh:

Possible blocked air jet in the carb or the float is stuck and its overfilling the bowl.mine all spit a little when airbox not on.may even be worn venture.
Without airbox on your lean.Very lean and the slides wont work correctly either.Dont keep running it jetted for airbox without it fitted. It will run your motor dangerously hot.
