It does have the tubes that go from the front fairing to the frame, but they're not really ram air tubes as you think of them. They don't actually attach to the intake system in any way. People have tried before to make them functional, but the stock carbs on our bikes aren't designed for ram air and actually perform worse if air is being forced into them. At best, the tubes help get some cooler air under the tank cover and allow said cooler air into the motor, which can help a little bit.

haha, you mean the "frame cooler"
a member on here made the ram air actually ram air and I guess it worked for him.
you just need a larger jet kit

AND the float bowls need to be pressurized as well.
I believe this is what Finch was talking about. If you pressurize the venturi (thru the airbox) but DONT pressurize the float bowls you end up potentially blowing all the fuel out of the float bowls via the bowl vents....but you will FOR SURE screw up the carburetion as the carbs
depend on the pressure differential between atmospheric and venturi to properly meter fuel.

Hi,
the term "frame coolers" is not correct they are there to intruce dense cool air around the top of the engine and the air box outer skin.
I believe (info from this forum ) that the 1K riders actually lift their tanks by 6-12 mm to aid this effect
