I'm a new guy here, so hello everyone

I bought a 94 fzr about a month ago and I'm fixing little things as I go
Still haven't gotten my license so I'm taking my time lol

My highbeams won't work, the bulbs are fine and so is the visible wiring but I don't know how to take the hand control switch dealy apart to make sure my connections are good
Anyone know how?

And I bought side fairings used from someone on this site and I don't have all the brackets on the bike to attach them, I see the brackets on ebay but I just want to make sure where they go and what they look like.
Anyone have pics?

And I can't lock my steering, I know how but it won't do it, I've had my friend try and we have tried anything we think would work
I just don't want to carry a wheel lock with me wherever I go
Anyone have an opinion?

My choke is also in a spot where the fairing mounts(I assume) is the normal placement for it on the left side on the frame?

I see people post pictures that look like they are from an online manual, anyone know a site fr those?

I just haven't made it to the Yamaha dealer or anywhere else to buy a manual for my bike and this site has given me loads of info

I just thought to ask because of all the helpful information I have seen on this site

Thank you all for any help,
Barry

Hi there, make sure to introduce yourself in the intro section.

Take a look at the front wire harness that goes to the lights. There should be a yellow, green, and black wire going to each. Look at the connections for each bulb and make sure they are good. These bikes are netorious wire wire issues doe to bad connections.

You don't really need the fairing brackets to hold the side fairings on. I don't use them and there for can't comment on where they go exactly.

Buy a disk lock. The stock steering lock is a waste. You can yank on the bars hard enough to brake it making it useless. Just remember that if they want it bad enough, nothing you can do will stop them.

The choke lever mount is also a mount for the side fairing. That one is needed to mount the fairing.

Take a look in the Wiki, there are parts of the manual in there. Look around the web as well. You can download a full PDF version from a few places.

Don't go the the dealership if you can help it. Some things are worth while to get there, but most are very expensive. Shop on eBay and some of the forums for parts. They will be the best deals. Plus Yamaha stopped making the bike 10 years ago, so parts are getting hard to find.

Good luck with it.
